Why Organic Sprouts Are Good For Health

!±8± Why Organic Sprouts Are Good For Health

For a long time, nutritionists and dieticians have been advocating the health benefits associated with eating sprouts. When beans, nuts, seeds and grains are sprouted, their nutritional value increases significantly. Vitamins like Vitamin C, Vitamin A and B vitamins increase in strength along with important enzymes that are required to build healthy cells in the body.

Rather than wasting time and money trying to locate a source of organic sprouts, you can make your own sprouts. There are many seed companies that sell organic seeds that are specifically meant for sprouting. It is better to opt for these seeds rather than buying from a farmer. This is because a farmer may spray herbicides, pesticides or use manure in his field, and the seeds that he or she sells you may not necessarily be of food grade quality.

You can sprout alfalfa seeds, broccoli seeds, or mung beans easily in your kitchen without it taking too much space. If you really enjoy the taste, you can invest in a sprouting container that is easily available anywhere. This way you will have a steady supply of organic sprouts for your salads. You can also take an assortment of sprouts, add a dash of lemon juice, salt and pepper and eat them.

Remember, that sprouts not only give you required vitamins, proteins, minerals and enzymes, they also aid in digestion and bowel movements. They are extremely healthy to consume and you should make it a practice to eat at least one bowl of sprouts everyday. Also, if you are doing your own sprouting, the surplus can be refrigerated without any problems as sprouts do not lose their nutrients very easily.
